San Francisco Film Preserve is a Community Partner for the 17th annual CROSSROADS, San Francisco Cinematheque’s annual festival of contemporary artist-made avant-garde film from the international community. SFFP will partner for CROSSROADS 2026 Program 7: before the great palaces, everything was still which will take place at Gray Area on September 6 at 5pm.
Cinematic poems of forgetting and remembering, experienced as much through the body as through the eyes. A program of films which, like curtains drawn against a heatwave, keep the sensuous world at a distance, thrumming and beating against the sweltering, synesthetically, longingly, infusing in their liminality.
